Taillamp-Bumper reflector

Manufacturing Process
The production of these automotive lenses involves high-precision plastic engineering to meet safety and durability standards.
Material Selection: The red outer lens is typically manufactured from Acrylic (PMMA) or high-quality Polycarbonate (PC), which are chosen for their impact resistance and clarity. The black housing or bezel is often made from ABS plastic.
Injection Molding: The primary manufacturing method is plastic injection molding. Molten plastic is injected into high-hardness steel molds under extreme pressure to create the precise shape and the characteristic retroreflective pattern on the inside of the lens.
Ultrasonic Welding: To ensure the unit is waterproof, the red lens and the black housing are often joined using ultrasonic welding, which uses high-frequency vibrations to create a solid-state weld between the two plastic parts.
Quality Control: Finished parts undergo testing to ensure they are DOT and SAE certified, meeting specific requirements for light reflection and environmental durability.
